ACL Reconstruction & Revision Surgery

If you’ve torn your anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), you’re not alone. ACL injuries are common—especially among athletes and active individuals. At The New Foscote Hospital, we offer advanced ACL reconstruction and revision procedures to help restore knee stability, function, and confidence.

What Is the ACL?

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the major ligaments in your knee. It connects the thighbone (femur) to the shinbone (tibia) and helps stabilise the joint—especially during twisting or sudden movements.

Signs You May Need ACL Surgery

  • A popping sound or sensation at the time of injury
  • Knee instability or “giving way” during activity
  • Swelling, pain, or limited range of motion
  • Difficulty returning to sports or physical work
  • Previous ACL surgery that has failed or re-torn
