Mr Shafighian entered the GMC’s specialist register for trauma and orthopaedic surgery in 2009. Since that time, he has worked as a consultant in hand and upper limb surgery in Surrey, East Anglia, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
A particular interest in hand and wrist conditions includes treatment of simple and complex Dupuytren’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve, or tendon injury, trigger digits, arthritis and soft tissue lesions.
Mr Shafighian is equally adept at performing arthroscopic, or open surgery, for conditions such as impingement, or rotator cuff tear. Always with his patient’s interests and wishes at the heart of decisions on treatment.
