Mr Alex Ramsden’s focus is Migraine surgery, but his main NHS role is the lead plastic surgeon in the Oxford Bone Infection Unit, which is a world-leading centre for the specialist treatment of osteomyelitis, fracture-related infections and prosthetic joint infections. I work closely with orthopaedic surgeons and infection doctors to deliver integrated patient-centred care. He trains plastic surgery trainees and fellows, lectures widely, holding held various senior clinical management roles and plays an active role for international medical societies regarding infection and microsurgery. His time is balanced between NHS work, independent surgical practice and medicolegal work.
