Georgina Baines is a Consultant Gynaecologist with subspecialty accreditation in Urogynaecology at Oxford University Hospitals. She cares for women with a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including heavy or painful periods, vaginal prolapse, and urinary incontinence.
She studied medicine at the University of Oxford and completed the majority of her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Oxford. During this time, she undertook a two-year clinical research fellowship at King’s College London under the supervision of Professor Linda Cardozo, focusing on bladder and pelvic floor function. She subsequently returned to Oxford to complete her subspecialty training in Urogynaecology.
She is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, ensuring that patients are well-informed and supported in making decisions about their treatment.
Research & Teaching
Miss Baines has published widely in the field of urogynaecology, with research spanning the safety of mesh implants in prolapse surgery, recurrent urinary tract infections, and the assessment of bladder function. She remains actively involved in both research and medical education.
