Dr Chadwick completed his medical degree in 2008 from the University of Oxford. He continued his general medical training in London before he began training in respiratory medicine in the prestige Oxford rotation.
During his training he dual trained in intensive care medicine, broadening his training to manage critically unwell patients and providing additional understanding of acute respiratory physiology.
In 2019 Dr Chadwick was admitted to the speciality register for respiratory, critical care and general medicine. He subsequently took up a consultancy post at the renowned Hammersmith Hospital in London during the Covid-19 pandemic before returning to the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Dr Chadwick continues to work in Oxford both as an intensive care consultant but also as the NHS lead for the nationally renowned special airways clinic. Here he is responsible for personally reviewing over 700 complex asthma, chronic cough and breathless patients each year.
Breathlessness and chronic cough can be frightening and debilitating symptoms. Dr Chadwick recognises the need not only for expertise but also compassion and kindness when exploring them.
