Professor Muehlberger studied medicine at Freie University in Berlin, graduating in 1991. The beginning of an exceptional level of training and experience.
His studies continued at the renowned Harvard Medical School, followed by several years in Oxford and Cambridge. Professor Muehlberger then underwent plastic surgery training, at Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore USA.
Admission to the UK’s Specialist Register in Plastic surgery came in 2008, with consultancy posts following and invitations to work internationally. Professor Muehlberger’s experience and willingness to travel have seen him support patients in many countries.
His skills in plastic surgery are welcomed, as is the migraine surgery he offers. This will not suit every case and careful assessment is required but for many who have suffered with an unpleasant condition for years, surgery can be life changing.
The way this is delivered helps, with Professor Muehlberger’s ensuring patients feel comfortable and calm in his care, through his kind and supportive nature.
Research & Teaching
Professor Muehlberger has authored specialist publications, including ‘Migraine Surgery: A Clinical Guide to Theory and Practice.’ His preparedness to share knowledge and support his colleagues is valuable to them and their patients.
