Dr Qaisar Khalil is a Consultant in Pain Medicine at The New Foscote Hospital, specialising in the diagnosis and management of complex acute and chronic pain conditions.
Dr Khalil completed his medical degree (MBBS) and specialist training in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in Pakistan, earning the Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan (FCPS). He gained clinical experience in Ireland and completed a pain medicine module as part of his professional development, before obtaining the Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland (FCAI). He further developed his expertise through a Pain Medicine Fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Oxford Pain Management Centre, Churchill Hospital, UK.
His clinical practice focuses on the management of spinal and radicular pain, neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical pain, and cancer-related pain. Dr Khalil offers a comprehensive range of minimally invasive, image-guided interventional pain procedures, utilising ultrasound and fluoroscopy techniques to deliver accurate and targeted treatment.
Dr Khalil adopts a holistic, patient-centred approach to pain management, integrating pharmacological therapies, interventional procedures, physiotherapy, and psychological strategies. He works in line with national and international best-practice guidelines, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, shared decision-making, and realistic treatment goals. He also maintains a strong interest in education and multidisciplinary collaboration within pain medicine.
He is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Haryanvi, enabling him to provide compassionate and personalised care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
