Dr Husham Abuleis is a highly experienced Consultant Physician and Nephrologist with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of kidney disease and hypertension. He completed his specialist training in Renal Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals in 2014 and began his consultant career in Birmingham. Since February 2018, he has held consultant posts at the Oxford University Hospitals Kidney Unit and Milton Keynes University Hospital.
Dr Abuleis has broad experience in general nephrology, managing both acute and chronic kidney conditions, including chronic kidney disease, diabetic nephropathy, nephrotic syndrome, autoimmune kidney disease and glomerulonephritis. He also has a specialist interest in hypertension, having worked at the West Midlands Hypertension Centre where he treated patients with resistant hypertension and developed a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to blood pressure management.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Abuleis is actively involved in medical education. He obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from University College London in 2013. He currently lectures at Buckingham University Medical School and serves as a clinical examiner for the MRCP (UK) postgraduate examination.
